Mike Srodawa- Head Coach, Jumps Coach

During his 14 years as head coach and 21 years total at Tallmadge, Coach Srodawa has helped 49 athletes reach the State Meet in 48 events. During his tenure as head coach, 19 athletes have been named All-State in 13 events. Srodawa is from Rochester N.Y. were he was an all-county high jumper. He attended Kent State University where he high, long and triple jumped for the Golden Flashes.

John Gergely- Sprints Coach

Gergely is beginning his 13th season as the varsity sprint coach at Tallmadge High School and has coached 15 total years at Tallmadge. He is a Tallmadge graduate and former record holder as a member of the sprint medley. During his senior season at THS, Gergely was the district champion in the 100 meter dash. He went on to run at Malone College and was a record holder in Malone’s 4×100 meter relay.

Jeremy Huth- Distance Coach

Coach Huth is in his 6th year with Tallmadge track and field, and also as head coach of the men’s and women’s cross country team. He has been with the program for the past 7 years. Huth came to Tallmadge from Streetsboro City Schools where he lead the men’s cross country team to a regional berth in just his second season and advanced an individual runner to the state cross country meet.

Huth is a graduate of Kent State University with a major in education. He received his masters degree from Kent State in 2005 in Adminstration.

Coach Huth graduated from Waterloo High School in Portage County where he earned all league honors and qualified to the regional meet two years in a row. Currently, Huth competes in triathlons and is sponsored by Team ER (Eddy’s Bike Shop and Ritchies Sporting Goods).

Mike Duve-Hurdles Coach

Coach Duve is in his third season with Tallmadge track and field and is entering his eighth season with Tallmadge football. Duve has been involved with coaching for 19 years. He has spent the past 13 years coaching in the private sector, primarily working with collegiate and professional athletes in the area of speed and strength development. Duve is from Cuyahoga Falls were he was an all-state qualifier in track. He continued his track career at The University of Akron where he competed in the 400 hurdles, 400 and 800 meter dash. Currently Duve is on the faculty at The University of Akron with the Department of Sport Science and Wellness Education where he teaches and advises in the area of Sport Studies.
